Oh my, with the rush of the holidays I haven’t posted since November, my online sales were wonderful, thank you to all who trusted my work to give as gifts.We were so busy making, packing & shipping that I just couldn’t find a moment to write anything ‘wise’.
Other artist friends have been picking out a word to describe what they hope 2012 will mean to them and what they plan to do. I have pondered this and my word will be “reach”..I know, I know not very brilliant but it encompasses what I hope to do…
1- Reach new levels of skills with my work, try something really difficult. 2-Reach a better understanding and ability with my camera & product photos. 3- Reach out to the web and all it has to offer to help my work get ‘out there’..that is a big reach but I am working on it by shameless self promotion..haha 4- Reach a better solution to time management and reach out to others who ‘can’ do things for me..I do not have to do it ‘all’. 5-Reach out to causes I believe in and try to let a small part of my work help them to help. 6- Reach out to loved ones that I sometimes put on the back burner because I am ‘busy’and last but far from least
7- Reach the beach at least twice a week from May until October so the labradors can swim and I can take a moment to thank the heavens that I live in a place as wonderful and beautiful as Prince Edward Island.
I am sure other goals to reach will occur to me but if I can do 5 of these 7, I will consider the exercise was ‘well done’.
